Janurary/February 2012

Traveling
We have been busy since the holiday breaks. We have been to Virginia, Delaware, and across Ohio. We thank God for his protection during these long trips and know that He is always with us. A prayer has been answered when we were offered a pull behind camper. It is just right for our family and will help with the remaining time on deputation. The girls are going to make it a nice home for us.
We will be in New York, South Carolina, Ohio, and Tennessee for April and March.

Central Asia
I should be heading back to ******stan in May. The weather over there has been very cold and this year. The team and children have been fighting the Chicken pox, Measles, and the Flu. I hope we don’t have to go through this again in the future. Other than fighting illness and the cold, all is well.

Ministry
We continue to work on the language and prepare for the up and coming trip. Please understand that we are not to go to a foreign land and make people Americans. As missionaries we are to go to foreign countries, preaching the gospel and making disciples and servants for Christ. Please continue to pray that the Lord will direct us and prepare those in our path to hear His Word.

Challenge
Romans Road - The Road to Damascus Acts 7-9
This is a good picture of planting a seed and having the Holy Spirit work in ones life. Stephan was planting the seed of Truth when he preached before all the people before his death. Their conviction and the consent of Saul took the life of Stephen.
Did God's message talk to Saul? Was he convicted? On the road to Damascus a light shined down and God talked to Saul. Saul humbled himself and asked what God wanted to do with him. God changed the name from Saul to Paul and made him a new man. Paul became one of the greatest missionaries of all time.
We all at one time or another have had someone upset with us for what we preached. It was not us that made them upset, but their conviction. We have been cursed at or a door shut in our face. Shake the dust off and go on!
Let the Holy Spirit work in that persons life. God’s Word will try one’s spirit. Keep praying on keep moving. You never know how or what God is doing in that person’s life. Just plant the seed! It is not our job to convict the people. Our job is to share the Word of God. Let the Holy Spirit work!
Do not ever under estimate God or His work. God has a purpose for each and everyone of us. That purpose is Him!
He Is Worthy!

“God had an only Son and He made Him a missionary.”
